Warwickshire Local Transport Plan
The concept of Local Transport Plans were introduced in response to the Government’s White Paper on the future of transport titled “A New Deal For Transport: Better for Everyone” (1998). This White Paper was designed to create a better, more integrated transport system both nationally and locally. The concept of Local Transport Plans were adopted as the framework for Local Authorities to implement the Government’s proposals.

Annual Progress Reports
In addition to the requirement to produce a Local Transport Plan, each authority publishes an Annual Progress Report (APR). The APR details progress towards achieving the objectives and targets listed in the Local Transport Plan. Specifically, Warwickshire’s Local Transport Plan Annual Progress Reports give details about the schemes and programmes of work we are delivering, and the progress being made towards achieving the objectives and strategies contained in the Local Transport Plan.
