"Making Warwickshire the best place to live and work....now and for future generations."
The Directorate was established in April 2006 as part of a new, more streamlined County Council. Our work is based on the central theme of sustainable development, ensuring economic, social and environmental improvements for the benefit of Warwickshire, its people and the wider community
We do this by:
- developing and improving services in support of County Council priorities
- engaging stakeholders so that what we do reflects the views of the community
- ensuring the services we provide are delivered efficiently, effectively and where appropriate, in partnership with others,
- making sure European, National and Regional policies are developed in the best interests of Warwickshire
- considering the impact of our plans and activities on future generations
The Directorate is responsible for a wide variety of services which affect the daily lives of all residents of Warwickshire.
We employ some 850 staff in full-time and part-time roles. Our planners, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, landscape architects, economists, accountants, countryside rangers, school transport drivers and tree surgeons, to name just a few, work together to deliver services and community based projects across the county.
