The team conducts consumer education, media liaison, consumer research and consumer advocacy, ensuring that consumers are both warned and informed about consumer related issues and are aware of the services Trading Standards provides and how to access them.
The division also provides advice, information and guidance to help businesses understand and comply with Trading Standards regulations.
Consumer Advice Team
Consumer Direct West Midlands provide a basic consumer advice service on behalf of Warwickshire Trading Standards.
However, complex enquiries from vulnerable consumers that require more investigation are passed to the division’s expert Consumer Advisors. The same advisors also deal with consumer complaints that are sent by letter or email to the service. They also provide face-to-face consumer advice when complainants visit the service. |
