A County- wide Service
The service established the first mobile museum in the country, an active Museum Field Services section and a highly regarded Heritage Education Service.

Warwickshire Museum after closing for 15 years since World War II, opened to the public again in 1953. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s Warwickshire Museum extended its services to the County and its collections. One of the most significant developments of the service was the acquisition of the branch museum for Warwickshire’s social history, St John's House Museum.
Heritage Education organise a programme of community events and activities for children and adults throughout the year. The picture above show some of the things created from such events.
