Warwickshire Museum after closing for 15 years since World War II, opened to the public again in 1953. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s Warwickshire Museum extended its services to the County and its collections. One of the most significant developments of the service was the acquisition of the branch museum for Warwickshire’s social history, St John's House Museum.
