| The Anglo-Saxons in Stretton-on-Fosse |
| The site at Stretton-on-Fosse is located on a ridge just west of the Fosse Way in South Warwickshire. Excavations since 1949 have produced evidence of two cemeteries - one Romano-British and the other Anglo-Saxon - and a small Anglo-Saxon settlement. To date, 14 Romano-British and 45 Anglo-Saxon burials have been found. As at Wasperton we appear to be looking at a community where the two groups lived peacefully together. | ||
