TravelWise
The TravelWise campaign brings together around 160 public sector organisations, including councils, health authorities and Government advisory groups, which work together to promote alternative ways to travel.
The National TravelWise Association merged with the Association for Commuter Transport on 1st January 2008.
The main aims of the Warwickshire TravelWise Campaign are:
to raise awareness of the environmental, economic and social effects of travelling by
foot
,
bike
,
motorcycle
and
public transport
to encourage socially responsible
car use
to promote more sustainable modes of travel, and lifestyles which require less travel
to increase the number of walkers, cyclists, motorcyclists, public transport users and
car sharers
